80's night rocked my socks...or leg warmers! We had such a blast! Not only did we get to dance to 80's music for hours on end but we also got an awesome workout! We can't wait to go back!

It's THURSDAY...and that mean's 80's night! I love 80's night! Tonight we're going to head down with JR and Laura. I haven't been to 80's night in a couple of years! My friend Cassie and I used to go every week and I have missed it! We're dressing up and getting ready for a night of classic 80's jams!

We're back at it! School has begun! I'm excited to be back at it! I have a super busy schedule this semester! I'm taking 5 classes and I'm already planning on having no life for the next 3 months! Brandon started back up and is taking 2 math classes on top of his other classes!! Crazy boy! Wish us luck!

Sunday

Yesterday Brandon and I had to speak in church. I spoke on baptismal covenants and B spoke on temple covenants. Brandon's parents and brother John also spoke with us. It was such a blessing to be able to speak with everyone and hear their testimonies! I had to teach Sunday school...the lesson was on Job. I'm so glad that I was able to teach this lesson...I learned so much from teaching...Count your blessings, praise the name of the Lord, trust in the Lord, and keep your faith strong! Brandon taught elders quorum and I had an awesome relief society lesson. We loved the rain that came Sunday afternoon! It was so beautiful and it made everything smell so good!! Apparently it was a crazy weekend because I went to bed at 8...with a super nasty headache! But not to worry after 10 hours of sleep i'm good to go!

Summer vacation's last weekend!

What a fun weekend! Wendover was a blast....Black Jack is the new game of choice! We had so much fun! JR and Laura made such good trip buddies! We ate at the Seafood Buffet...all you can eat KING CRAB LEGS! We got back just in time for me to head into work at Five Alls...Good thing i worked that night to make up some money for all of the money we lost! Overall it was such a fun trip and we can't wait to go back!

Wendover

We are leaving for Wendover today! We're going down with JR and Laura Snow. We're only going for the night since JR and I have to be back to work at Five Alls on Saturday night! Brandon has been strategizing for craps and is excited to play. I'll be spending my time at the penny slots...I'm sure I'll win big...WISH US LUCK!

Brandon might have a good time playing black jack, or craps, or texas hold 'em...but look at how much fun I will have playing the penny slots

Summer

We have had such a fun summer! We had Ronnie and Jocelyn's wedding, we went to Las Vegas to welcome my cousin Adam home from his mission, we went camping with the Matheson's in Ferron, we went to Laguna with the Lords', we've played soccer, we've worked, we've hung out with our friends, and we've spent a lot of great time just with each other.

There has been so much that has gone on in the past month!

First off......We have a NEPHEW!! Nathan Isaac Griffeth! We love his so much and just think he is the cutest thing! Nathan was born in April and we love it when we get to see him and spend time with him! Congrats Steph and Tyler!

We also went to CALIFORNIA!!! We flew down with Kory and Amy on thursday night. We stayed in Oceanside the first few days and then headed up north about an hour to end our trip with DISNEYLAND! We got in late on thrusday night but we were all super hungry and there was a Denny's right by where we were staying so we headed over there for a little late night dinner. The next morning Brandon and I got up early and walked down to the beach and hung out there for about and hour and then we went back and got Kory and Amy and we all headed down to the beach. We hung out there for a couple hours just relaxed! For dinner that night we went to RUBY'S that is out on the pier. After dinner we went and saw...IRONMAN 2! It was really good. We walked back to our hotel and went to bed! The next morning we got up and decided that we wanted to go to the San Diego Zoo! It was awesome! The zoo was huge but the animals were so lively and playful! We did a TON of walking there but it was totally worth it! I think that one of the favorite animals of the day was the "SLOTH BEAR" this guy was so awesome! He was super funny looking but I totally wanted one as a pet! After the zoo we went back to where we were staying and made: steaks, artichokes, and potatoes. It was an AMAZING dinner! The next day we headed up north just a little bit and went to Laguna Beach. It was a pretty cold day but the boys braved it out and went in the ocean. (My side of the family goes to Laguna Beach each year and the hotel we stay at provied chairs, towels and umberellas...so yes, we went and pretended that we were staying there and used their stuff! We also used their hot tub after the boys got out of the ocean becuase we were all FREEZING!) So because it was cold we decided that we would leave the beach and head up to Aunt Jeanie's house (which is right by Disneyland and where we would be staying) but as we started driving out of Laguna the sun came out so we decided that we would stop in Newport and try the beach out there...it was still cold so we just walked down the pier and then got back in the car. For dinner we went to...THE CRAB COOKER!! My favorite restaurant in the world! It really tasted so good! We went to Aunt Jeanie's and got our stuff all ready becuase we were getting up early to go to DISNEYLAND!! We got 2 day park-hopper passes for Disneyland and California Adventures. We had so much fun! The lines were so short and the weather was perfect! We left very early wednesday morning to come home! It was such an amazing trip and we're glad that we got to have such a fun time with Kory and Amy! I will post a bunch of picutres from our trip by this weekend!

Hey! So it's finally time for an update...how many times have I said that I would actually do this??? And now I'm finally doing it! First off...marriage has been a blast! We have had so much fun and have both grown so much! NOW Right now we are both in school and both working full time. I work for Intermountain HealthCare in one of their Physical Therapy clinics. I love it! I'm in my last semester of prerequisites before I am able to start the PTA (Physical Therapist Assisting) program. Brandon is working for HP through a company called MarketStar. He really seems to like it...and he's really good at it! After only working a month there he got a promotion and has been doing a lot of great things for the company! Brandon has been going to school taking 4 classes! He's doing really well in all of his classes. TRIPS We have been on a few fun trips since we have been married! Right after we went married we went to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving with my family. We walked around on the strip and had dinner...it was a short trip but it was fun! We went on a climbing trip to Maple Canyon last May! We had so much fun! We were able to climb for a couple of days and we also went on a really cool hike in a slot canyon! Last August we went to Laguna Beach, CA with my family! Because we were both in school last summer we were only able to go for a few days but we had a blast and can't wait to go back this summer! RANDOMS Life has been really busy! Brandon and I have both been playing a lot of soccer! Brandon played and still plays on two outdoor teams. I have been training with Sparta for WPSL (or semi-pro) and it has been some really hard work but it's getting me back in shape, which is exactly what I need! Brandon and I played on a coed indoor team, with some friends and family, during the winter and we had a lot of fun doing it! HIGHLIGHTS The highlight of our year was getting sealed in the temple! I was able to take out my endowments on November 20 (our 1 year anniversary) and we were sealed the next day on Noverber 21, 2009. Elder Craig Zwick was our sealer and he did an AMAZING job! We were so blessed to have the opportunity to spend time with such an amazing man! Elder Zwick holds a special place in both of our hearts! We were so glad to have our family and friends share that special day with us! PICTURES Now that I have given you a short update on our crazy lives I will get some picutres up of our crazy adventures! And I really am going to try to stay more on top of this whole BLOGGING thing!

OUR ENGAGEMENT!!

So for those of you who don't know our engagement story i just thought that i would share it with you!

Every year Brandon's family (extended family included) goes on a family trip to Ferron, Utah. It's basically an amazing camping trip! So this year i got to go with them! It was really rainy this year but i had so much fun getting a chance to experience the greatness of a place that Brandon loves so much.

Every year that they go to Ferron they go to a place there called Wood Tick Point. It's a huge grove of aspen trees that they carve their names in. So the second day that we were there we all went down there to carve our names. Brandon's mom, Tammy, told me that I should go find a tree to carve my name into. (when couples are married they get to have a tree together) So i found a great tree and carved my name and the year into it. As Brandon and I walked around we started talking about looking for a tree for maybe next year. We found a tree that we really liked but he told me that it was a rule that you had to be married in order to have a tree together so we would just have to wait. I understood and thought nothing of it.

After we left Wood Tick Point everyone went up to a big open field to go shoot guns. I had never shot a gun before....it was pretty intense! As we were shooting guns Brandon's grandpa, Grandpa Ron, said that he had left his knife in one of the trees and asked Brandon's to run back down there on one of the 4 wheelers to grab it. Brandon left to get the knife and i stayed back with everyone else shooting the guns. Brandon came back and shot the guns with all of us for a little bit. As everyone else was going back to camp grandpa ron let Brandon and me take one of the 4 wheelers to go for a ride. It was a lot of fun! i had never been on a 4 wheeler before so Brandon took me on some fun trails.

We ended up back at Wood Tick Point. When we got there we got off and walked around. As we got further back into the grove, by the tree that we had picked out to carve our names into at a later time, i was a red ribbon tied around the tree. As we got even closer I was able to see our initials and a heart carved into the tree. As we got to the tree Brandon got down on one knee and asked me to marry him......I SAID YES!!!

As we took the 4 wheeler back to camp eveyone was waiting there for us with cups of bird seed to throw at as to say congrats!!!

So that is the story of how Brandon and I got engaged on August 8, 2008!
